| Poh Teck Tung and Ruam Katanyu are two Thai foundations devoted to keeping Bangkok roads clean from car wreckage. Many Thais volunteer to work for PTT or RK rescue units hoping to gain merit and improve their karma. Today the rescuers have some medical training and they help many accident victims, as they are often the first to arrive on the scene. But since part of the job involves handling human remains, needless to say there is a somewhat sinister air around them. WARNING: Some pictures may be found disturbing. |
